Plextor, il produttore di drive ottici ad alta affidabilità e soluzioni di storage personale, annuncia oggi l’ultimo DVD-RW drive della sua nuova serie PX-800: il Serial-ATA PX-810SA . A 18x, è ancora uno dei drive più veloci al mondo, [Plextor è stato il primo costruttore a lanciare prodotti 18x con la serie PX-760]. Il nuovo drive include inoltre la tecnologia multi-formato (DVD+/-R & DVD-RAM) per soddisfare la domanda di drive SATA high-end da parte di appassionati e professionisti.
La crescita di SATA è dovuta a diversi buoni motivi: è scalabile, consente una maggiore flessibilità nella progettazione del sistema e aggiunge compatibilità a standard futuri per la piattaforma informatica. Inoltre consente una maggiore affidabilità del sistema per quanto riguarda flusso d’aria e dinamiche termiche, oltre a una più semplice installazione e aggiornamento.
