I giudici della Capitale bloccano le richieste dell'industria discografica tedesca che, ottenuti gli indirizzi Ip degli utenti accusati di violazione di copyright, voleva risalire ai nomi.

I ricorsi di Peppermint contro Telecom e Wind per conoscere i nominativi sono rigettati. Riferisce Adiconsum: "I giudici non hanno ritenuto fondate le istanze volte ad ottenere gli indirizzi fisici dei consumatori italiani che da tempo sono stati sottoposti ad una sorta di “spionaggio telematico” da parte della Società Logistep, associata alle ricorrenti".
L'associazione consumatori aggiunge in una nota: "Finalmente, grazie alle pressioni di Adiconsum, nonché agli interventi anche recenti del Garante della Privacy, si prospetta una maggior tutela per i consumatori italiani".
Quasi 4000 utenti nelle scorse setrtimane hanno ricevuto raccomandate che intimavano loro di pagare un risarcimento simbolico per non finire sotto accusa da Peppermint per scambio illecito di file nel P2p e violazione del diritto d'autore.
Ma i ricorsi presentati da Peppermint e Techland vengono respinti: si chiude a favore dei consumatori il primo capitolo in un caso che ha sollevato dubbi e perplessità anche sotto il profilo della privacy.
