Pmi non ritiene accettabile l'ordinanza che rigetta la richiesta fatta da Peppermint e Techland a Wind e Telecom di rivelare i nomi degli utenti colti a condividere su reti peer to peer file protetti da diritto d'autore.
L'attività illecita del peer to peer deve essere sanzionata e non trovare tutela nella privacy": lo afferma Mario Limongelli, presidente PMI, associazione dei produttori musicali indipendenti.
"Oggi in tutto il mondo - commenta Limongelli - sono le aziende indipendenti l'unica e vera risorsa della cultura musicale oltre all'attività di ricerca e sviluppo di nuovi talenti, e questo comporta una esposizione maggiore che deve essere meglio tutelata da una pirateria dilagante. E conclude: "In questo momento di cambiamento radicale l'Industria indipendente è più vulnerabile e quindi le Istituzioni non possono tralasciare siffatte decisioni"
